In our culture today, there is a constant emphasis on living well. During this Lenten Season,
Fr. Frank invites you to join him in discerning how do we develop a plan for “Dying Well.”
This is a topic many of us find distasteful at best, and absolutely frightening at worse.
During the three Wednesdays after Ash Wednesday, we will gather
either at 10 AM or 7 PM in the Church Hall to examine certain key aspects for Christians to prepare ourselves for this transition from our earthly life to our everlasting life.
These sessions will take place on March 13, 20 and 27.
Please call the Parish Office if you plan to attend so Fr. Frank can prepare this course material. Thank you.
Once again a group of our parishioners volunteered to serve lunch at Eva’s Village. The group will met in the Parish Office parking lot at 10:15 AM and carpooled together.
We will be going again on Friday, March 15 and Tuesday, April 2. We are still in need of a few volunteers for those date. If you are interested in participating, please call the Parish Office for more information.

REMEMBERING A FALLEN HERO Franciscan Father Daniel Grigassy, pastor of St. Bonaventure Parish, leads a graveside service on Sept. 11 for Franciscan Father Mychal Judge in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, as firefighters and police salute.
On 9/11, Father Mychal Judge and all those lost are remembered
TOTOWA On the 17th anniversary of the Sept. 11th attacks, Franciscan Father Mychal Judge, who served as a New York City Fire Department chaplain and was the first recorded fatality of the Islamists’ terrorist attacks, was remembered at a 9/11 Memorial Service at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery here where he is buried. Father Judge had previously served as pastor of St. Joseph Church in West Milford. A memorial Mass was also held a St. Bonaventure Parish in Paterson before the graveside memorial service. Franciscan Father Daniel Grigassy, pastor of St. Bonaventure, celebrated the Mass and also led the service at the cemetery.
Knights of Columbus Councils 240 and 6574 have hosted the memorial service since 2002, the first anniversary of the attacks. At the service, local parishioners, friends of the fallen chaplain and police officers and firefighters prayed in memory of Father Judge and all victims of 9/11.
